Koh Ker was the capital of the Khmer empire in a period between 928 and 944 AD. In this short period of time, a lot of ancient houses and buildings were under construction. One of the most outstanding construction is THM Prasat – the pyramid temple of 30-meters height located surrounded by jungle, decorated with carved Garuda bird statue on large stone blocks.
