Laos Itinerary for 3 traveling Weeks

Laos is a wonderful destination in Southeast Asia. The country attracted a lot of tourist because of beautiful and amazing destinations. 1 Week 1

The first stop in Vientiane, Laos takes the time to visit the relic Pha That Luang. This is the tower of the church with yellow color is like a beautiful light radiate. Many people said that in the tower has kept the relics and many jewels. Therefore, this is also a place to attract many visitors when coming to Laos. Pha That Luang area is quite wide so you can spend the day to tour; learn about architecture and culture here. Furthermore, if you want to enjoy romantic atmosphere and architecture, you should visit the place in the afternoon to admire the stunning sunset. Besides that Laos also has a tragic past in the aftermath of war. The pain is best illustrated when you go to the COPE center located on the Mekong Riverside pedestrian street. With the goal of helping victims of landmine / UXO casualties in the war, the center gradually transformed into a travel exhibition, preserving remnants of war. This is also one of the places you should visit when visiting Laos to learn about the country’s heroic history. One of the interesting experiences for traveling in Laos is a bicycle. You should rent yourself a bicycle and explore the Vientiane travel. After visiting the COPE center, you can walk along the Mekong River to Chao Anouvong Park nearby, where there are booths selling handicrafts, clothing and street food in Laos very exciting.

2 Week 2

After 1 week exploring the center of Laos, Vang Vieng is the ideal destination for the second week in Laos. The place located far 150km from Vieng Chan. Vang Vieng is a small town nestled in the midst of the green mountains so the climate is very pleasant and comfortable.  When visiting Vang Vieng, you can not miss the opportunity to visit Nam Song River. There are many interesting games to experience such as kayaking, bungee, and jumping. Furthermore, in the afternoon, you can walk around Vang Vieng town, cross the suspension bridge to the stilt house and bungalow with green grass very peaceful. There are also cafes, bars, souvenir shops for you to have fun shopping.  In addition, Vang Vieng always has hidden beauty, so there are a lot of wonderful destinations. Therefore, PouKham cave is one of the amazing places. Located far 7km from the center town, the cave is very beautiful and mysterious, in the middle of the cave is the Buddha statue lying along the deep trail attracts the footsteps of the adventurous. In Vang Vieng, the most popular types of tourism such as mountain climbing, hot air balloon or zip line through the pristine forest. Evening in Vang Vieng you take the car to the ancient capital Luang Prabang (takes about 7 -8 hours).

3 Week 3

When visiting Luang Prabang, you can walk or continue to rent a bike to roam the old town. There are no modern buildings or any two-story house. This place is known as the “Buddha Cave”. You will have to conquer about 25 km along the Mekong River to reach this cave. On the way to Pak Ou Cave, you do not forget to visit the beautiful Whiskey Village where you can try the Laos whiskey which is soaked in the snake, the very special insect of the village. Furthermore, in the evening, visiting the Luang Prabang night market which is full of silver souvenirs, handicrafts, paintings are quite nice to buy as gifts for friends at home.

About 30 km from the center of Luang Prabang is a population called Kuang Si Falls. Here with the cascades at an altitude of about 60 m down to form the small lake hidden in the wild jungle. Furthermore, you can immerse yourself in the cool clear water in the forest and forget the tired and daily worries. There is also a very interesting bear sanctuary for you to visit. On the way back from Kuang Si waterfall, you can visit the village of Voi Khamnu which nestled between the majestic mountains and experience the elephant ride around the village.

In addition, Luang Prabang has many attractions for you to discover with the last day in eleven million elephants, you conquer Mount Fuji, also known as Chomsky hill in the heart of the city. This mountain is not difficult to conquer with more than 300 steps. From the top of the mountain, you will see the whole immense imperial city appear before your eyes. You can come here early in the morning or sunset to catch the moment the first rays of the sunshine or the sun go out and save the last photo memories on the journey to explore the beautiful country.
